Auckland Council
As this election counts down to noon on Saturday I will be out meeting with people in the ward - on hand to introduce myself, talk and answer questions where the opportunity arises. For me it is a way I can show I am ready, willing and able to serve you as a councillor on this new Auckland Council.
At meetings, through our brochure and this website the substance of what I have to offer as a councillor has been laid out. This election is vitally important to me, as it is to you. The councillors elected, while they must carry forward the concerns and hopes for their ward, will also stand and act for the greater Auckland area.
As a resident of the Albany Ward for more than 26 years and of Auckland since birth I believe I have the mix of community, business and council experience to be an able and active leader in Council on your behalf. From the talks with homeowners, ratepayers, businesspeople, mums, dads, families, sportspeople, beachgoers; wherever I have found people there is a common message. "We want you to make a difference, we expect you to be in there for us, we want our community to be heard and do not lose sight of why you are there."
I put myself forward to serve you to the best of my ability. That is a pledge.

You can help me make it with your vote, and also for John Watson who stands with me as "Putting People First". Because the vote has to be physically in by noon this Saturday the 9th October the surest way to get the vote in is to post by Wednesday the 6th or after then to hand it in to a ballot box at a Council Office or Service Centre up until 12 noon on Saturday or at a Council Library on Saturday up until 12 noon.
Thank you very much indeed for visiting here and for supporting me.
Sincerely,
Wayne Walker
